Replacing Sunroof

Post by 76shaggin_wagon on 10/11/2009, 12:57 pm

Hey all.
I've had the sunroof (old, pop up style) out of my van as it was leaky + fairly dodgily put in. Now its come time to put it back in, but i wasn't sure what product to use to seal it on install. Just wonderin if anyone who has put one of these in or knows anything about them could recommend something??

How would a SMALL amount of the sealant ,that windscreen blokes use, go around the metal's edge under the rubber?

the sealant, plus make sure the rubber is in good condition, the smallest nick will give u headaches of extremely wet proportions. It should also be a snug fit... Clark Rubber sell a variety of different profiles of rubber if you need to replace.

Awesome. I'll try and get a hold of some of that dab-off, it sounds like what i'm looking for. The rubber seems to be o.k, but i'll make sure i give it a good look over and check that its a really snug. It's good to know i can get replacement seal from clark rubber if need be. Thanks a ton.

if you do need to buy another seal, make sure you take the original one with you... they have heaps of different profiles and you can easily get confused.... well, i do anyway....
