Cruisin' the northern beaches in Sydney's most elusive van...

Work and family commitments have kept we away from the van and other vanners for the last few weeks but for one hour last weekend I was able to cruise around the northern beaches in one of Sydney's most elusive vans, and its owner for the last ten years, Andrew. While managing his own business seven days a week, it is no surprise that we had lost track of it in recent times. It has changed quite a bit since we all last saw it and a great deal of time and money has been invested in it over that period. It has been on the market a few times so that Andrew can "do the sensible thing", but I'm sure if we could entice him along to one of our bigger events, he would continue to do "the unsensible thing" like the rest of us. Although Andrew doesn't have much time for the internet, I'm sure he would be interested in your thought of his one-time CV&T cover van.

Maybe he can help us fill the back row at Sydney's largest annual Drive-In Nght at Blacktown this weekend. Plenty of Hot Rods and custom cars expected. Park the van at the front and join other SouthernCrossVANS.com users for a quiet ale at Cricketers Arms Hotel next door. Meeting anytime after 5pm - best time for pics of the vans.

I've got the CV&T that features this van. I wonder how many Merc dealers got hasseled one?

I can't believe it's still alive! Even though I'm not into Merc's, but this van is awesome. It's very well done and seems to have been very well maintained.... Very Happy

Fres, Elle has every right to be jealous of you taking out such a sweet ride and leaving her at home. Love to see her it in the flesh Andrew, doesnt deserve to sit in a shed under covers. Looks fantastic tongue

Its almost a daily driver - just not when everyone else's van is out and about.

I was going to pass the comments on to Andrew from all the forums and emails - just seems a little quiet in Van Forums at the moment.

Possibly a good chance for the Van Nats as a trade event is happening not far from Geelong - so vans, rods and plenty of tax deductions maybe the right ingredients.

Said I would save him a space if he decides to attend the Drive-In.

Great to see this van still looking so good, i remember seeing it at the van nats around 1990/91, an awsome ly well put together front. It has been 4 sale a couple of times and looked at it myself but could not get the money at the time. Do your best Fres to get it to the Nats
