Hey Aaron, thanks for the Midnight Oil pictures... and yes, that's the van, i finally got round to showing Thomas the pics on the forum. He absolutely loves that van and is wondering if anyone knows if it's still alive. He thinks our forum is great and maybe, just maybe, one day he may get a van and join up...... he has to convince his wife though..... bugger the wives! lol! lol! lol! lol!

Yeh no worries, might have to find myself another van now aswell, thinking of putting my HG away ( dust collecter ) and getting a HQ van for a everydayer.

Would be nice but the new owner was putting a GEN3 in it and doing a full makeover, i like it how it was, it went great with the 253 4spd. When i get the chance i will check that Dark Green HQ van around the corner from me, covered in dust under a carport .

Apart from my selections early on in this topic, i am just a huge fan of "old school" style vans with body mods etc, like Innervisions, Concorde van, Moonlight Dreamer, Motorvator, Streetlegal. Mirage, Silver Bullet (fj van). These type of vans inspire me and they are all still around.

on the aussie side of things, the EK van with chop top that rod hadfield built was a sweet ride i'm pretty sure it exists somewhere i remember it being in his museum before he sold up.

small van would have to be mirage,
and based on things that float my boat (high tech, custom work etc) stormbringer takes the chocolates for med van.

photo's just don't do those two vans justice.

speaking of vans that are still alive, the front clip of the madmax sandman (rectangle headlights etc) was on ebay last week - maybe in tassie from memory. anyways the van it was on (it definitely looked to be the one) sounds like it might be being rebuilt without it. forgot to watch it and keep the pics oops.

Its back on ebay but not the original i think, quite a common setup. Some of my mates when we were in our early 20s had vans with the XC headlights in them, prem fronts with small mods from memory.
